Overview

Located on Heacock Street in Moreno Valley, Steve’s Burgers stands out as a vibrant local hamburger joint with a flair for both classic American and Mexican-inspired comfort foods. This modest yet bustling spot delivers a satisfying mix of hearty burgers, flavorful melts, and inventive sides that speak directly to the diverse tastes of its community. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch or feeding the whole family, Steve’s Burgers serves up unmistakable flavors in a casual, no-frills environment.

Their core offering centers on well-crafted hamburgers that boast a solid, juicy patty paired with fresh toppings, including classic lettuce, tomato, and cheese. The ¼ lb cheeseburger paired with fries or the option with zucchini sticks presents a balanced, comforting meal. However, what truly elevates Steve’s beyond a typical burger stand is their Mexican all-day menu, which introduces robust dishes such as Carne Asada Burritos and deeply satisfying deep-fried burritos. These items showcase a thoughtful blend of bold, sizzling flavors wrapped in familiar, approachable formats.

Pastries and melts are another highlight; the pastrami melt combines smoky, tender meat with sharp mustard and tangy pickles on rye bread, adding a deli-like richness to the menu. Customer favorites extend beyond burgers—the chile cheese fries topped with pastrami or cheese and onions resonate as a signature side that complements the main dishes superbly. The hot Tabasco chicken wings with fries add a spicy kick, rounding out an experience that’s dynamic yet consistently satisfying.

Steve’s Burgers feels like a neighborhood staple, ready to serve families and individuals looking for hearty, bold flavors without fuss. The outdoor seating reflects its street-side energy, bustling with locals who often prefer to call ahead to skip the wait. Its family packs cater beautifully to group dining, offering value and ease for those wanting to share a variety of the menu’s highlights.

According to repeat patrons, the stand’s reliability and quality of food have cemented its reputation. The pastrami tacos, for instance, receive high praise for their ideal texture and fresh toppings like cilantro and guacamole, bringing a unique twist that stands out among typical taco renditions. Suggestions from enthusiasts encourage Steve’s to deepen their culinary identity further, perhaps with signature batter seasonings to create more unique taste profiles, especially for options such as zucchini sticks.

In sum, Steve’s Burgers is a flavorful blend of classic comfort and regional influence, sitting comfortably in Moreno Valley’s food scene. It invites both burger aficionados and lovers of Mexican-American fusion to enjoy generous portions and a community vibe, all wrapped up in a straightforward, hearty menu designed to satisfy diverse appetites.

If you live in MoVal you definitely know about Steve’s. Pastramis are the best. It’s a local hamburger stand that’s always busy… it’s best to call in your order. Seating is outside and it’s on a rather busy street.

It was really good. Cooked very well and had no complaints. I think they should come up with their own batter seasoning. Zucchini for example. The batter would give it more of a signature flavor. Otherwise I would definitely go and eat there again.

The burgers are good but once I tried the Pastrami Tacos I was in love! The texture is of the pastrami is fantastic it’s not all wet and sloppy- it’s more like bacon without all the fat, top it off with fresh onions, cilantro and guacamole and you’re a winner!
